“As I get older, I get more disillusioned with the direction software is taking. Instead of getting better, it’s getting worse at an almost geometric rate. In spite of all the “open source means quality code” rhetoric, Linux has become the poster-child for buggy and idiosyncratic software. There are a few shining exclusions to this general rule, but these exceptions only show the defects in a harsher light.”
