I blame all of you – no, really

Let me tell you something. It’s simple. It’s obvious. In a perfect world your
parents would have told you right after "don’t let strange men touch you
without giving us our money."

No one who works for any online service you will every use needs your
password or credit card number online.

I have been online since I was 12 1/2 or so.. and that particular scam was
old when I started. But still, I have to have conversations like this:

97574614: Hello, this is Daniel Fahren from ICQ Support, due
to a recent hacking of one of the ICQ servers, that happened to hold your
ICQ account information on it, we have lost most information about our members
on that server. To restore the server to 100% we need to know your e-mail
address that you assigned to that ICQ number, and your current password.
Without this info, we will have to terminate your ICQ membership. Thanks

soulhuntre: f**k you.
soulhuntre: idiot.
lCQSupport: Why?
soulhuntre: Do you actually trick people with this?
lCQSupport: ya
soulhuntre: This is as old as computers.
soulhuntre: Cant you even think of something origonal?
soulhuntre: Sheesh. Get a life.

It’s still working for them… and I know it isn’t me. So stop falling for
it will ya? Thanks.

In other news I went to see Red
Planet
and then stayed to see Book
of Shadows
, the Blair
Witch
Sequel. Red Planet was pretty good actually in a mellow way. As for
Book of Shadows, this
review
says it better than I ever will.

Work is going well, Project X is coming along well, we found our programmer
and will be forwarding tech info and an NDA today (Sunday).

Ok. Sleeping now.
