reload step 1 – do I have everything safe?
Ok… fortunately I am prepared for this sort of thing. All of my data ALWAYS
lives on a seperate drive from my C: drive. This allows me to do this sort of
thing without upsetting my data. All I had to do was copy the following….
- My Documents
- Favorites
- Cookies
- ICQ
- Diablo II characters
Is is easy, I just took the entire "c:program filesICQ"
directory. Diablo II was equally easy, it is all in the Diablo directory. The
rest live in "c:Documents and
Settings". So I copied them all to a network drive and I am all set. Check
your watches, because as soon as I publish this I will be re-booting the system
with the Windows 2000 advanced server CD-ROM in.
