So while I was getting some of the utilities I need, Cnet showed me a link to something called Go!Zilla. It is a download manager that is supposed to make it easier for you to grab files from the web. It’s garbage.
- The interface is needlessly flashy
- It installs advertising software on your machine
- There is a HUGE bug with it that shows up on shutdown of the machine, causing a system dump
Do yourself a favor, stick with Flashget. It looks good so far!
Anyway, that’s it – I am going to sleep. Office is in, my email is running, I have downloaded Ultradev and SystemWorks and I am beat. I could have done the reload in much less time if I didn’t have other stuff to do… but all in all it is not bad. I was functional in 3 hours or so and that’s OK.
BTW – no snow. I hate weathermen.
