another day – another step forward
Generally speaking today turned out to be a pretty good day. I made a
lot of progress learning the various graphics tools I need , received some very
cool compliments on the work I’ve been doing so far and gathered a lot of good
information business wise.
As it turns out, I might have been missing a chance at some investment.. I
often concentrated on the online methods of finding venture capital , and I
really didn’t pay any attention to the face to face style just like in the ‘old
days’.
So I called a few of the local business associations left some voicemail
messages and am hopingto set up some meetings tomorrow for next week. With
any luck we can get featured at some of the meet and greet lunches they have
between bankers and entrepreneurs. With any liuck we will get the
opportunity to pitch for people who are actually interested in investing
Even though the market is fairly low there is still lots of interest in
high-tech firms. Fortunately some of the more astute investors around have
realized that this is a good opportunity to start building their internet
portfolio while the prices of the investments are low.
I did render a
new image today. Printed it on the best paper I have available to me
and took it dojo. I showed it to about ten or fifteen people and
they all think the work is incredible. To make sure they had something to
compare it with fiber with me and render from the
Final Fantasy
movie. Generally speaking they were impressed that we can do what we’re
doing with the level of hardware we have available to us. I’m very
impressed myself
The important thing, much more important than their praise is that I realized
my current business direction is the first one I have ever had that I could
explain in 1 minute or less to a non-technical person. This is a good thing.
Anyway I’m having some minor problems with my software as it looks like
3D Studio Max doesn’t want to run with
Windows XP.
That’s okay I can run and I’m one of the other machines for the times I need it
for now.
We seem to have have the characters, software, and textures we need for now.
I am working on the skills. We’re still missing some clothing[1][2],
and we’d definitely need more
hair. Sadly, the clothing and hair are kind of expensive.
Hopefully over the next few weeks I can make enough money to buy what we need
before it holds us up. On the bright side, the
poses are fairly cheap so I might be able to grab them over the weekend ๐
Yes, I will soon be able to reveal the secret project all this is for ๐
And last but not least, the court
threw
out a good portion of the Microsoft
ruling. While it’s still going to be going through the legal system it
does look like Microsoft is can be broken up anytime soon. You can find

here.
That’s OK because I’m actually really getting the hang of this voice
dictation thing ๐
That’s it for now I have to get some sleep. Remember that we’re going
