A round up of the truly cool stuff from the day…
-
Macromedia is releasing
FlashMX in the next few days. This will have a huge impact on several of
our current projects and I am looking forward to making extensive use of it.
Not only does this change a lot of our possibilities for corporate and
personal sites but it has been something I have kept in mind all the way
through the design of the technology for the Client Y website. Among the more
useful features is the ability to dynamically load and stream video in a
much wider variety of formats than ever before… and the ability to
dynamically pull in JPG images and other stuff.
If you are in the web design/development field, you owe it to yourself
to
look at the new features! Also, check out
this preview/review.
- In just three days
Ice Age hits the theatres. I am going to try and drag the gang to a
matinee if I can dig up the cash to take ’em all. I think we will be
paid by then so that should work out. Anyway, go
look at all the coolness if you haven’t yet and drop by the
company that built it all as well.
- To further make the world a rockin’ cool place, the movie Resident Evil
looks so frosty if makes my tongue stick to stuff. Or is that the babe in the
lead role? Anyway – check out the
trailers then hit
the site.
- While I was out scouring for cool
Poser stuff to use with
Stephanie (thanks!) I came across the cool utility of the year.
The Tailor is a utility that moves morphs from Poser figures to the
clothing they wear. In short this makes it much easier for my
Victoria 2 and Stephanie characters to stay in their clothing. Once I get
my hands on this thing I will be able to re-use a LOT of good clothing I own
for my current characters, even if that clothing wasn’t made for the body
shapes I am using. This let’s me slash my necessary clothing purchases.
Cool stuff!
That’s it for now. Night!
