can use your own email address or a Hotmail account. Why?

- You’ll need it for some of my upcoming websites. It allows you to have one
password on all Passport compatible websites, and it saves developers like me
a >lot< of hassle. For instance, this weblog will soon allow those with a
Passport account to set preferences, or see what has changed since their last
visit.
