All mine…

Some of you may remember that I previously discussed the growing popularity of life size or near life size dolls. As usual, anything even a little twisted here is just the tip of an extremely twisted and cool iceberg in [[wp:Japan]]. There is a growing culture of “love doll” enthusiasts and in addition to the obvious uses dolls of other sizes and that are less, umm, functional are becoming popular as well. It rocks pretty hard to be honest.

Personally? I think it would be great to have some around… beauty is a fine and natural concept (despite what some think) and really generally enhances an environment. I have plants cause they are pretty, I have images and art that is pretty, I have objects and sculpture that is pretty. it seems to me a life size sculpture of a hot girl is just another form of art. In this case, art I could really “enjoy” on occasion 🙂

I mean really, think of the possibilities. Different outfits, different positions, a schoolgirl outfit here and some tight bondage there. You could pose them singly or together, put them out in the yard for some sun bathing, take pictures and generally speaking have some intensely amusing conversation pieces around.

Any shape, any size, any eye and hair color. Bliss 🙂

A little bit of heaven

Oh yeah…

To show you that there is a god there is a wave of what they are calling “mini-dolls” or “pin-up” dolls that are totally awesome! They are specifically designed to be photogenic and filly pose able, averaging around 24 inches high running around $500. On top of everything else they are much more affordable. Sure, you can’t have sex with them… but you can’t have everything in life.

Sheesh, I could probably easily get obsessed with collecting these, building scenes and photographing them. That would be bad. Fortunately I can do the same thing in 3-D animation and call it an industry… and don’t think I’m not planning. Then again, I could use these dolls to test out various lighting and camera angle set ups, as well as some proof of concept stuff. Business expense!

Don’t hate me, it took me a lifetime of work to be able to pursue my fetishes professionally 🙂

• Pinupdolls – their work simply blows me away. You have to go check this site out. Amazingly cool mini-dolls.
• Rubberskin – the home page of what looks like a very high end life size doll manufacturer in Japan. They do ship to the US it appears. They have pages of faces, bodies, costumes and other scenes. There’s even a cool links page.
• Candy Girl – an outstanding line of full size dolls, a great website. Just seriously high class stuff.
• A.I.doll – they make some nice full size dolls.
• alchemiclabo – another mini-doll maker.
• Superbabe – a non Asian full size manufacturer that has some interesting items, though I prefer the Asian dolls.

• The Doll Forum – a community devoted to the “love doll” enthusiast. Includes both US and Asian dolls as well as others. The members do reviews and discuss the relative merits of the different dolls.
• Tabo’s page – as far as I can tell, ‘Tabo’ is something of a big wheel in the love doll community. It’s hard to say for sure since so many pages are in Japanese, but he sure gets linked a lot! Some cool galleries and other information, some of it in english.
• Tabo’s doll link page – it links to a bunch of pages and also tells you what type of dolls are featured on each site.

• shia’s room – don’t know what it says, but it sure seems to have taken a lot of work.
• ra-doll – some cool images of a doll collection… some really good stuff. Make sure you also go through the Japanese version of the site.
• myLovedoll.net – links to a few sites that have galleries
• The Doll Album – this looks like a place for folks to put up images of their dolls in a community atmosphere. Unfortunately it seems there are bandwidth or other issues that prevent most images from loading. If you have success [[let me know]].
