By the way – I was fantasy shopping tonight and decided to look up a camera I have coveted for a long time… the Cannon XL1S. Anyway, i started reading and found out that it is pretty long in the tooth with two challengers that are fighting it out to replace it. I listed them below:
- The Sony DCRVX2000
- The Cannon GL2
There is a lot of drama out there on the web about this stuff, but in the end I think I would get the Cannon GL2. Even CNET likes the GL2 though it is extremely close with the DCRVX2000. There looks to be some advantages in it’s 16:9 output format and the automatic features of the camera. It’s just a fantasy, but if anyone knows of good information comparing the two head to head [[let me know]]!
