Well, with the reality vortex that was the Dean campaign pretty much ended it might be time to look at what went wrong. There is a great entry on Corante that discusses what was right, and what was wrong.
In the end the salient fact is this, getting together with like minded people on a mailing list or in a chat room to talk to yourselves about how right you are and re-enforce your collective biases is amusing… but isn’t going to help with your reality issues.
This fits in nicely as a way to look at the problems involved in incestuous, insulated communities whipping themselves into a rose colored world view. When you’ve read it, go check in with some of the online discussions I link to and see if you can spot the budding insanity.
