So a fine, fine thing happened today. As I went out to get a [[wp:802.1g]] wireless setup together for a laptop (I am going to give a family member access to my network) I found out that my favorite computer company had a seriously special deal on a [[wp:LCD]] monitor, with only one left. The family member offered to charge the monitor and either let me pay them back or accept it as a gift for some unspecified future holiday. I said OK.
This is really going to help with the 3D work I have coming up. It is taking some getting used to and it is making my old monitor look a little anemic, even though it is a rock solid item. I will definitely be buying only LCD monitors from now on.
