Never forget, forgive, or excuse… |
Well, it’s 9/11 again. I guess it’s appropriate… because today is the day I lost my last bit of faith in Kerry I think.
- Remember the past
- Remember how it felt
- Remember the lessons
On this day, as you hear the speeches and the memorials realize that we are at war. Our enemy is an ideology of hatred that wants our destruction to every last one of us. They do not consider us anything except spoils to be used in the name of their god. They have checked their hearts and found that their priests sanction the killing of 4 million Americans, including 2 million children. Only one worldview will survive this battle – theirs or ours. I want it to be ours.
As I look back and think on three years of US self recrimination and self blame, as I listen to the pacifists implore us to crawl and try and appease our foes while those who happily hide behind our soldiers when they need them snicker and tell us that maybe now we have learned our lesson (fuck you France) I only have one thought.
Who do I feel, in my gut, understands the conflict we are in? Who knows that it is us or them. Who realizes this threat is as grave as the Soviets ever were in the [[wp:cold war]]. I’ll tell you this, my gut sure isn’t mentioning John Kerry’s name.
