The Generation 2 FM transmitter is no better than the Gen 1, but at lease the gen 1 had a antenna hack available. I cracked open the Gen 2 (easier than it seems… there is a big magnet that holds the aluminum body on and some adhesive. Just get a screwdriver in there and twist … however this WILL slightly damage the casing of the transmitter).
In any case… looking at the circuit board I see no obvious antenna to solder a wire onto. Any advice? Here are the photos I took of the circuit board.
I HAD hoped that the long wire on this kit would have been used as an antenna so that we got some decent range… but no dice.
