\nThere I was, harsh light and cold tile… my face a grimace as cold eyes stared into my open mouth. A hard metal file began to rasp as little bits of my tooth began to fall away. Hopefully this would fix it. If not… things were going to get drastic…<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Now the rest of the story – I was all alone, a cheep nail clipper supplied the file and those were my teeth I was working at like a two bit sculptor with a case of the shakes…<\/p>\n
That’s not true either, I am really good at what I do.<\/p>\n
Let’s talk for a moment… the term is “bathroom surgery” – and it might well be some sort of twisted addiction. You knwo the type of thing… filing down teeth, removing deeply ingrown nails, taking out stitches (or putting them in) and lancing all manner of boils and infections when they happen.<\/p>\n
It’s late at night. Something about you is not right. Maybe there is some pain. It’s not worth a doctor trip or there isn’t one available. Besides – you have all you really need… nail clippers (sterilized in alcohol), a needle, some Anbosol in case it gets bad and your own bleary eyed determination to get this done<\/i><\/b>.<\/p>\n
Sometimes, it has been with a doctors advice. A root canal of mine went horribly wrong and had gas build up underneath the filling… the dentist said (at 3 am) “poke a hole in it, let the gas out”. Poke a hole? I could do better. I had a hand drill and a little tiny bit for use on circuit boards…<\/p>\n
Ah… sweet relief!<\/p>\n
All I can say is – thank god I didn’t have my Dremmel at the time. A good friend of mine tends to dig deep chunks of flesh out of his feet, and I have the unfortunate tendency to get very<\/i><\/b> serious about hangnails and ingrown nails when they happen to my feet. OK… I sometimes get carried away and lose an entire nail or two.<\/p>\n
That doesn’t make me some sort of pervert, right?<\/p>\n
Besides… they grow back most of the time. Hell the best thing that ever happened to me was that I need bare feet for my dojo… I had to put that particular bad habit away, mostly.<\/p>\n
Currently, my problem is teeth. I have a few teeth that needed crowns but I haven’t been able to get em yet. So they have fillings. That would be OK except the filling is much stronger than the teeth themselves. The molars keep breaking off in chunks but the inner core of filling remains! <\/p>\n
Want to imagine what it’s like to bit into a Fig Newton and lose part of your tooth?<\/p>\n
But then it’s off to the “hospital de toilet” to file down the sharp bits.<\/p>\n
