There is a<a href=\"http:\/\/www.corante.com\/many\/archives\/2004\/02\/03\/exiting_deanspace.php\"> great entry on Corante<\/a> that discusses what was right, and what was wrong.<\/p>\n<p>In the end the salient fact is this, getting together with like minded people on a mailing list or in a chat room to talk to yourselves about how right you are and re-enforce your collective biases is amusing&#8230; but isn&#8217;t going to help with your reality issues.<\/p>\n<p>This fits in nicely as a way to look at the problems involved in incestuous, insulated communities whipping themselves into a rose colored world view.
