I tried to reply and LJ told me I was unable to comment to this journal. I guess I have been banned. I guess &#8220;honest&#8221; DS can only exist when protected by the heavy hand of censorship. Here is my comment anyway for those who care.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Since I was in the neighborhood, I felt I might add to this discussion as well \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>I discussed this a while back in a <a href=\"\/core_dump\/archives\/001485.ascx\">journal entry<\/a> and have a much longer comment in <a href=\"\/core_dump\/archives\/001634.ascx\">another entry<\/a> but I&#8217;ll copy one of the relevant parts&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>-_-_-_-_-<\/p>\n<p>Some relationships between owner and property include consent from the property to the owner to make decisions that may result in the properties death. It is obviously important that such consent only be given to someone you trust, and that exercising that consent should be guided by your morality and ethics.<\/p>\n<p>If I were to find myself in a situation so extreme, so fucked up that I thought that the taking of the life of my property was my best option I do not believe concern for the law would be my main problem or concern.<\/p>\n<p>This view is not unique. When I was in the military the dynamic was similar.
