You know, since the end of the Ms. Magazine message boards the amount of feminist insanity I am exposed to has dropped dramatically – but every now and then you come across a thread that just makes you want to shudder (don’t forget page 2). All the quotes below are from there. The emphasis is mine…

“Do you feel like growing out hair in your arm pits is somehow a radical statement? Do you get a thrill out of not wearing a bra in public?”

“I’m letting my pit hair grow and love it!! Admire it every day as a matter of fact.”

“I haven’t shaved my body hair (pit, leg or otherwise) in almost two years.”

“Bras? Fuggedaboutit! I’m fat with huge boobs, and I’ll never work another job that requires a bra.”

“i’ve noticed amoung the ‘younger’ gals that shaving ones “private” area seems like the norm.”

“Armpit hair is sooooft, especially since I use Liquid Rock d.o. which doesn’t leave an icky coating. I catch myself stroking it at traffic lights…. and my children still claim me, go figure.”

“find leg hair to be sensual. I used to shave it, gawd I can be such a good girl, but hated the stubble, so I quit. I like how it feels when the wind blows, and my fuzzy blonde hairs are cute when the sun shines on them. They’re starting to curl, like my father’s did.”

“I LOVE my fuzzy pits. I’m damned close to measuring the little critters now…cause i just wanna see my progress. But like I said, my crotch hair is thin so my pit hair will probably be as well. Shame though…because a good friend of mine has coal black hair and very thick. Looks like two very soft mustaches under each arm.”

“LOL!! darlin’ i don’t think any womon has a shape (except one of those teensy Olympics gymnasts) to facilitate “natural airflow”….my things just make a “chooshing” noise.”

“However, I like to experiment with different shapes and styles, what kind of hair cut best defines and shows off my naughty bits, etc. I’ve found that no matter how careful I am, I can’t get a clear heart shape. I can, however, do a nice lightening bolt.”

Haven’t shaved pit or leg hair or worn a bra (don’t even own one anymore!) in about a decade.”

“Well, I’m 32 and I do shave my pits and legs. I wear a bra to work and I have special pushup bras to wear when I am decked out in extra high femme gear and want to show off the cleavage.”

haven’t shave my arm pits in fifteen years. my legs about seven years. I tried shaving my pubic hair once about eight years ago. Did not like it and I got irritated from the bicycle seat and it was itchy as it grew back in.”

“okay, my new pit-hair is REALLY getting long….very silky. and today was the first day I wore sleeveless at work. (not intentionally but i realized it nevertheless). i keep waiting for someone to look….almost an “i dare you to say something” LOL”

“Anybody got $20 bucks you’d wanna sniff for?”
