“President Bush now represents a symbol of defiance against the terrorists and it is a fact, that all the enemies of America, with the terrorists foremost, are hoping for him to be deposed in the upcoming elections” –  quote in context<\/a> (more below the fold)<\/i><\/font><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

If our enemies don’t want George Bush then I do because it means they fear him – he must be doing something right.<\/b><\/p>\n

Let’s be honest, as I mentioned before<\/a> it is important to see a man as his enemies see him. As this week has shown via the Osama\/Usama tapes the simple fact is that the terrorists and enemies of the US want Bush out. That’s everyone from the terrorists to the Chinese and the UN. Most importantly the terrorists.<\/p>\n

You can see how scared they are not only by their words against him but their actions. They are doing everything the can to upset the democracies in Iraq and Afghanistan because they know that if those countries become functioning democracies the entire region of hate and zealotry will fall. While John Kerry is talking about Iraq as a “distraction” America’s enemies are fighting for it tooth and nail, pouring money weapons and people into the fight because they understand what John Kerry does not – that this battle is far from a  distraction. Rather, Iraq is the wedge corner that will split the region open.<\/p>\n

In fact just about everyone involved except Kerry seems to understand this. Iraq is not a sideshow, Iraq is the place the place where this battle was joined and where the tactics will be worked out. They are hoping to do the only thing they can do – cause casualties and hope that we will lose the resolve and stomach for what needs to be done. They pray every night that John Kerry gets elected because he has already shown that he has no stomach for conflict. They know from his treasonous meetings with our enemies in Paris<\/a> during Viet Nam that he will always sit at the table and appease rather than stand and fight.<\/p>\n

This is a fight to the death, and our enemies want to be sure they face John Kerry, a man who has sown that he has no stomach for the hard choices and a man who can be manipulated by an enemy rather than George Bush who is the kind of man like Regan who took down the Soviet Union.<\/p>\n

I don’t often do “guest spots” here on Core\/Dump – but this post is so well written I am putting it here. The emphasis is mine.<\/p>\n

“Thus, regardless of all the arguments of both candidates the main problem is that President Bush now represents a symbol of defiance against the terrorists and it is a fact, that all the enemies of America, with the terrorists foremost, are hoping for him to be deposed in the upcoming elections.<\/b> That is not to say that they like the democrats, but that they will take such an outcome as retreat by the American people, and will consequently be greatly encouraged to intensify their assault. The outcome here on the ground in Iraq seems to be almost obvious. In case President Bush loses the election there would be a massive upsurge of violence, in the belief, rightly or wrongly, by the enemy, that the new leadership is more likely to \u201ccut and run\u201d to use the phrase frequently used by some of my readers<\/b>. And they would try to inflict as heavy casualties as possible on the American forces to bring about a retreat and withdrawal. It is crucial for them to remove this insurmountable obstacle which stands in their way. They fully realize that with continued American and allies\u2019 commitment, they have no hope of achieving anything.<\/i><\/p>\n

On the other hand if President Bush is reelected, this will prove to them that the American people are not intimidated despite all their brutality, and that their cause is quite futile. Yes there is little doubt that an election victory by President Bush would be a severe blow and a great disappointment for all the terrorists in the World and all the enemies of America.<\/b> I believe that such an outcome would result in despair and demoralization of the \u201cinsurgent elements\u201d here in Iraq, and would lead to the pro-democracy forces gaining the upper hand eventually. Note that we are not saying that President Bush is perfect, nor even that he is better than the Senator, just that the present situation is such that a change of leadership at this crucial point is going to send an entirely wrong message to all the enemies. Unfortunately, it seems to me that many in the U.S. don\u2019t quite appreciate how high the stakes are…” – quote in context<\/a><\/i><\/p>\n
