So in the EU Microsoft is forced by a lame lawsuit to offer Windows<br \/>\nXP-N, a version of WinXP that does not come with media player. For some reason a<br \/>\nbunch of confused hippies managed to convince the EU courts that what computer<br \/>\nusers really want is a operating system with less features because Microsoft is<br \/>\nevil for making WinXP do stuff.<\/p>\n<p>Turns out,<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2005\/TECH\/ptech\/06\/24\/microsoft.windows.n.ap\/index.html\"><br \/>\nno one wants that<\/a>. Imagine.<\/p>\n<p>Go read something by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aynrand.org\/\">Rand<\/a>, then follow<br \/>\nalong with how insane this is. The more functional, useful and complete WinXP is<br \/>\nthe worse it is supposed to be. Achievement is bad. Utility is bad. Obviously<br \/>\nthe only right thing to do is limit how good WinXP can be so that you can<br \/>\npretend your lame alternative is competitive.<\/p>\n<p><i>&quot;Mommy! That boy runs to fast!
