Another day, another thread of folks all upset that there is no \u201cdominant certification authority\u201d. Never fear though, the way this administration is going no doubt Obama will appoint a Czar for it soon \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Anyway, the thread is on Fetlife<\/a>, and this is my post.<\/p>\n \u2026post start\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n There "parameters" are personal and thus the judgment of who is dominant is made solely by those who choose to follow the orders \/ desires of the dominant in question. <\/p>\n Under no circumstances would it make sense to delegate the decision to a third party or some panel or committee. Period. I grant no man the authority to decide who or what I am, or what I may strive for. <\/p>\n There are no doubt lots of folks who classify me as a player. I have not had formal training (as if dominance is something that can be taught, for example) nor do I kiss the ass of some illusory "old guard". I did not beg anyone for the right to wear leather if I wish and if I want a "cap" I’ll go out and buy one myself, thank you. These people are welcome to their opinion – but it doesn’t actually matter what they think or degree, and it never will. <\/p>\n Here is a quick test of dominance – if you crave the sanction of others to assure you who or what you are… you fail. <\/strong><\/p>\n \u2026post ends\u2026<\/p>\n After I posted this, I took that last line and put it on twitter<\/a>.
