My research has led me to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.starting-a-personal-training-business.com\/accredited-personal-training-certification.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this handy chart<\/a>, which may be out of date but is a good starting point.<\/p>\n<p>I have narrowed the field down to three candidates, roughly in order of preference after looking at the programs and <a href=\"http:\/\/docs.com\/19RI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">comparing the relevant costs<\/a> (feel free to suggest corrections to the pricing spreadsheet).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.acefitness.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ACE<\/a> \u2013 Most well known?<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nasm.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NASM<\/a> \u2013 Also well known, most expansive, on twitter as <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/nasm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@NASM<\/a> and seem like good people<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nfpt.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NFPT<\/a> \u2013 much less well known, but by far the least expensive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Since you are all spread out across the world, please select 3 gyms near you and make a call for me. If you know any personal trainers, you can ask them as well.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You may need to speak with a manager&#8230; it depends on the gym.<\/li>\n<li>Ask &quot;blind&quot; if they require any certifications for their trainers, and if so, which one. <\/li>\n<li>You may portray yourself as either a potential client, or a potential trainer at your discretion.<\/li>\n<li>Ask, if you can, for them to expand on their views on NFPT.<\/li>\n<li>Keep your ears open for any other programs that seem to show up in your discussion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What I am trying to do is a fast survey of how the industry rates these three programs.
