Because so many people keep messing it up. I know, I know – the last thing
\n you need is a rant on "in the old days of the net" but that’s just
\n what your in for and you might as well just take your medicine. <\/p>\n

Of course, if you need something to do while I yell you can always go off and
\n surf the pretty girls<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It’s fairly obvious that e-mail<\/a>
\n is one of the best things of the net and that e-mail
\n discussion lists<\/a> are more popular than ever right now, in many cases replacing
\n the Usenet<\/a>
\n system.. All this discussion is wonderful, and it leads to a specific problem…
\n keeping track of who said what to whom.<\/p>\n

So I don’t care what you do, or how, but change the text you are quoting ON
\n EVERY LINE. Let your e-mail program do it in html (outlook will indent it for
\n you) or make it bold, or best of all let your software pre-pend a character
\n to each line!<\/b> ">" is the usual one, and has a long and happy
\n history.<\/p>\n
