“Explorer

#573 “Explorer” – Say goodbye to the numb rear end, stiff neck, aching back and strained eyes associated with e-mailing and surfing the Web. La-Z-Boy and WebTV Networks, Inc., a subsidiary of Microsoft Corp., have created the world’s first “e-cliner” to make you more comfortable with the Internet and all its possibilities.

Appropriately called “EXPLORER,” the new chair has all the plush comfort of a genuine La-Z-Boy recliner with an added benefit for consumers who want to explore the Web from the comfort of their recliner – WebTV Plus Interactive service. “Explorer” is outfitted with a tray table that folds out of the left arm and holds a Sony infrared keyboard that interacts with a WebTV Plus receiver. The left arm also houses a fused adapter outlet providing surge protection, a high-speed laptop modem jack and a 120-volt electrical outlet, while the right arm contains a drink holder and storage space ideal for holding a remote control and TV Guide.”
